Donnelly Creek State Recreation Site, located on the braided Delta River, is one of the state's most scenic campgrounds with views of some of the tallest peaks of the Alaska Range. There is also a great opportunity here to examine alpine plant life. This secluded wilderness campground is seldom crowded and has 12 campsites, toilets, public use cabin, and water. The cabin is located just beyond the restroom between site 2 and 3. next to a fresh water stream.

Location:
Donnelly Creek State Recreation Site is 32 miles south of Delta Junction at mile 238 of the Richardson Highway.

Special Notes:
The park road is not plowed in the winter. Folks will have to walk approximately 500 feet to reach the cabin from the highway.

The combination to the lock on the door is provided when the cabin is rented.
